The problem is my car keeps on reving up and down on idle by it self, from say about 800-1300revs continously. Just up & down & up & down. My mate said it might be my injectors are dirty so petrol dosent go down probably. Ive just recently changed my fuel filter. If any one out dare can help it would be great..thanks guyz.=]

check your ecu codes, see if its throwing any codes out.

engine running rich and [acronym:36871af103="Idle Air Control Valve"]IACV[/acronym:36871af103] are the most common culprits, like handa_b_blastn said you need to check the ecu for codes,

Bad [acronym:7d80edf179="Idle Air Control Valve"]IACV[/acronym:7d80edf179], Air bubbles in coolant, Vaccum Leak - Check all hoses etc.. u might of knocked a small hose off when you were changing your fuel filter and also try resetting your [acronym:7d80edf179="Engine Control Unit"]ECU[/acronym:7d80edf179].

How do u reset ur [acronym:345fad2fc5="Engine Control Unit"]ECU[/acronym:345fad2fc5]? n check for codes?

actually 30 sec will do it.

looking under your drivers side floor well, at the end of your center console tiy will find two blue connectors, one will be a three pin connector ( with two or three wires) and the other will be a two pin female connector, you need to short out the two pin connector, use a bent out paper clip or something. turn on you ignition and look at your engine check light. count the blinks. a short quick blink represents code 1, 5 short blinks, code 5 a long blik is code 10, two long blinks code 20, two long one short 21, get the picture.

good luck

what these guys are saying is absolutly correct, check all these things. I had the same problem and it was a dirty [acronym:165632dec0="Idle Air Control Valve"]IACV[/acronym:165632dec0] , go look in the DIY section for how to clean it.

Normally, it is the sensor problem or ecu. Go to honda dealer. They will tell you how to do. Good luck!!

99% it's the Idle Control Valve as the others have said.

sounds like ur idle's hunting, just check the following:
-vaccum leak or air intake leak
-valve settings(need adjusting)
-distributer caps gone
-might new spark plugs
-leaking or dirty injectors
- idle control valve
