any qualified and good mechanic is good to check the car for you.

Just make sure the mechanic checks everything properly

heres a few things you should get checked anyway off the top of my head:

Tensioners
Gaskets
Timing
Tapeds
Oil and fluids
Lines
Tempaerature
Leaks and cracks
Idling
Compression
Block and head
Brakes (rotors, pads, calipers and drums)
Exhaust
Gearbox, diff and propeller shaft
Electricals (just make sure they all work fine)
Body (damages etc)
Interior (damages)

thats just to name a few off the top of my head so gl with it

Haha, the problem is I can't test drive the car so it is impossible for me to check the car mechanically so yeah hence I want to get someone to check it for me

I'll sale you mine, it's here in perth and you can have test drive and check it yourself hehe

make sure you/mechanic check clatch because early models (99-02 i think) have that annoying rattle noise after they do around 40000km, it doesn't mean its ****ed, its something honda ****ed up in factory and you can fix it by changing it.

Not selling just joking man hehe, still a lot to explore with S2K:)

I did check myself with help of my dad, the only thing I didn't know of was that rattle noise, but after few days I found out it's nothing big or serious, just mistake by honda and it's fixable by changing clatch, which is good in a way gives me one more reson to get some performance kit:)

the cure for that is not to let your foot off the gas ;)

This might sound weird but I also suggest you open and close all the doors, bonnet, boot, fuel cap etc... The sound they make can hint to you it's history... :)

That's what I did, checked all gaps ect, I looked at black S2K befroe I got this one, had 25000km on clock and fully body kit, very nice car, guy was asking $44000, I went to check it out and you could see it was in accident, gaps were not matching, plus body kit on the top, so I new stright away it was demaged before, but owner was trying to tell me it all perfect, at the end, he was will ing to sale it for $38000 but with out any inspection, that's when I was 100% sure car was involved in something big

I'd say it's pretty serious if you have the pre '06 clutch the retainers are probably weak and if they break they can wreak hell on the flywheel as well as a nice tow truck ride home

I got told I can drive the car for ages like that but just to get used to that rattling noise, when I do change my clutch I'll get lighten flywheel as well so yeah
