Hay Guys,
I'm looking into getting Kpro fitted to go along with my Exhaust and Intake.
After doing some research i have learnt that the standard immobilizer wont function. After speaking with some people they have all recommended fitting an after-market alarm system. Now to my question,

Just looking for recommendations (obviously don't tell me what alarm YOU have for safety reason) I'm looking for something that will use the standard Type S key and buttons. ( dont really want to have a separate remote)

Cheers

I recommend if you dont want a separate control, Get a Rhino TransRam. look at it on the Rhino Page ^

If you send your standard ECU to Hondata then your Immobilizer will work (I'm led to believe) As the Type S ECU is not compatible, a DC5R ecu must be used (along with conversion harness etc) Because of the difference in Type R keys to Type S the immobilizer in the S doesn't function. So your should be fine with the DC5R

No problems, Yes with the DC5R if you want to use YOUR ecu, it will have to have a compatible Processor. If you want to find this out, jump on the hondatech forums, there is an Article showing you how to check if your current ecu is compatible. Hope that helps! If all goes ahead with Kpro, i will do a review.

that the same Problem the Latest model DC5R have in Japan. The au S has the same or similar ECU

they have to be changed to the pre facelift model ECU ay

In Sydney I got a Guy who does all the aftermarket alarms for a few big honda dealers. So he know ur Hondas like the back of his hands. LOL if that make sense. He comes to you and he is very neat and anal about his work. Does Alarms, Cameras, reverse sensors. Number 0425257949

well to be honest with you. The Stock alarm is a POS. so I wouldnt worry about that . I put an aftermarket alarm in my car 1st mod. It has no sensors wat so eva. I managed to open my car without the key and it didnt go off.

Yes unfortunately nothing seems to be easy in the S, if i can get around a couple of these problems easily i will be hoping to have it fitted and tuned by Adrian around end of August.

LOL don't remind me prusso..:(

so Adrian has made the kpro suit the TypeS and it's got no problems at all?
cuz last time I heard (i could be very wrong), his own Blue TypeS was fitted with the Kpro and it stalled while driving.

hahaha! LUCKY! i want a kpro! although i think ill just get a new whole unit, i can't do without my car! so sending my ECU = say 2 weeks without a car :(

jooboo

2 weeks, that doesn’t sound right. My cousin ordered his Hondata kpro from James @ Hondatech last week and it only took 48 hours turn around time, Melbourne to Brisbane. I think someone is pulling your leg with a 2 week wait, $1100 and yeah you have a kpro, very simple very fast, very cheap.
