does anyone now how to connect the tacho to the dash dimmers so i can dim the dash and the face of the tacho at the same time, so there not bright

do you have a aftermarket tacho? if that is the case pull out the dimmer controll unit (in your dash), right of your steering wheel and find the 'load side' of the dimmer/switch (going from the dimmer do your dash lighting. This is controlled by your dimmer which adjusts your voltage from 12V down to around 0V (12V being full strength and 0V being off or very very low). solder your + (form the tacho) onto the + wire after your factory dimmer switch and then pick up a common - (ground) nearby.
