Head Gasket

Would any tinkering need to be done if a head gasket was replaced with a slightly thinner brand name one? (Because of increase in CR)

it will generally run fine, but any benefit from the slightly raised CR is offset by the fact that your cam timing will retard... need cam gears to correct it.

If your going to change the gasket you may wish to consider changing timing belt and camgears while your there.

I asked someone here before but can't find the thread, but from memory it was 2* retard for every 1mm off.
