that all depends on what tickles you fancy with what you look for in a car.
the DC5R is a purpose built track car with the FF drivetrain and will satisfy you as long as you love cornering and a surge of NA power.
the WRX is good if you're into straight line rocketing or rallying. its also good if you like your cars to be very grippy.
the s15 is also a good car, with a light chassis based on the FR drivetrain. relatively fast and good if you're into drifting.
if you dont want to drift or if you like planting it in corners stably, i'd avoid the s15. from a personal preference, i'd choose the DC5R because i prefer atmo to forced induction. but in the end, its up to you.

BTW the AUDM DC5R is only the US Acura RSX (aka Type S), not a purpose built track car but still a good car. Have you driven all three yet to help make up your mind?
Personally I'd lean towards modding the Euro.

What the ? you joking right?
The euro has class , refinement , and appeals to more people when it's time to sell it. And from 100kmh rolling start it would probably keep up with a stock WRX.
The WRX is totally over rated by people who have never driven one.
IMO , it's just a 0-100 machine and thats all people see.
Drive a rex then drive a euro and the rex doesn't compare unless you are driving at 10/10ths all of the time.
Is the impreza RS a better car than the euro? NO...So why would the WRX be better? Oh that's right ..cos it's faster.....LOL.

Keep your Euro but don't mod it.
No question.

my budget is around 28k to 31k (my EURO plus some cash)
If WRX i am after MY05WRX WRP10.
EVO is cool but my budget just enough for EVO6 and i dont like it!

Depends how old you are too
IMO, old(er) people driving small jap racers look out of place to me. And the Euro would give a better image I reckon.
No offense to the oldies out there though :D just how it looks to me.
But if I were to pick one, I'd probably pick the s15, if costs weren't an issue. Looks heaps better than the WRX.

the wrx is easy to drive, relatively comfortable in the cabin and pretty noob friendly.
... and please don't mod the euro.

Apples for apples i say...don't mod your euro unless to just put nicer wheels on and you will have a nice comfortable car...Wrxs are just friggin everywhere and cost a packet to keep on the road and insure (but just try getting a 100k service on a WRX done and see what i mean)...and s15s are getting a bit old, even though they look alright.

Why would anyone go from a new car to a 15 yo one?
Who cares how quick it is.

Really? I always thought the AUDM DC5R was the JDM without Brembos, 17" alloys and different EU for 14kW less power.
I thought the RSX-S never got the quick ratio steering and suspension from the ITR. The new AUDM Type S was definitely scaled back (performance wise) from the ITR.

I scratch my head when someone does this. You wouldn't go buy a VP SS, so why would you get an R32 GTR? It's the same era of car.

The Golf IV is terrible. Heavy and underpowered in stock trim. Torsion beam rear axle. The original GTI was actually faster in 0-100. If you were to go for an A4 platform I'd recommend an S3. It at least had the IRS and retuned 1.8T with quattro. But they're still a $40-50k car.
The Golf V is an amazing car but sits higher price wise than the DC5, S15 and 03-04 WRXs. Great all rounder, but can be costly to mod. The ultimate bang for buck new car is a GTI DSG 3 door with APR ECU reflash. 192kW and a sub 6 second 0-100 in a car you could take to the shops in more than enough comfort. I drove one as a company car until getting the DC5R.

Even though they are nice they have had some quality issues of their own.
Plus i wouldn't fancy paying 50gs for a hatch with the same options as a 40gs euro.

get a turbo mate!
I've had a mildly modded S15 and now a fully modded REX as well ... and also had a DC2R a few months back... if you plan to mod it a little, for the money you can get alot more power out of turbo cars compared to spending the same on a DC5R. Simple bolt ons will give you a really nice increase already compared to having to go internals on a DC5R to get anywhere near the power ... and did I mention the torque ? there's just no comparison.
Both the S15 and REX take no effort to drive.. for practical reasons I changed to a 4 door as I have 2 kids .. the S15 will still fit 2 kids but we have to bend down alot to put them inside. so it really just depends on 2 door or 4 door, rear wheel or 4WD ... the REX is defintely more sure footed in the wet .. the S15 becomes abit scarey if you have crap tires and too much power in the wet .. so you do have to be alot more careful driving a S15 as it does tend to step out as the back is so light.

In the end its up to you what kind of car you want to drive. If you like luxury stay the euro, if you want to race take your pick.
WRX - Straight line
S15 - Drift
DC5 - Track
GL but also make sure you take into account the insurance on these cars. Good Luck.

The R32 golf is waaay better. Should get one of those instead of the others.
DC5R is quicker than an s15 stock and the s15's have weak gearboxes where the 6thg ear tends to die and its just well.. weak! If you get a wrx, get an STI and you could pick up an evo 7 for under 30 grand without too much trouble (i know i could). That being said, DC5R if you dont want to mod it too much and s15 if you do want to mod. My reasoning is that turbos give better gains than NA in my own experience.

anyway.. BBB if you are asking for peoples advice then at least give us some info on what you are looking for? your accord euro is a totally different car to the ones you are talking about swapping it for. there is no grounds for wanting one more than the other without giving us some info so maybe post up what you are looking for in the new car? or maybe what you dont like about the euro? anything.
all the cars you have mentioned have their strengths and weaknesses. you just need to think about which style of car you prefer or which one will suit you best. have you thought about that at all?

AWD doesn't make the car any safer unless you are on snow. It just lets the car put the power down more effectively with less wheelspin. If another car slams into you, you'll be relying on the crumple zones and the passenger cabin shell holding up. The Euro's shell is probably better than an older (pre-bugeye) WRX's cabin shell.

i think awd makes cars LESS safe in the hands of less experienced drivers.
when you think about it, it does not allow you to stop more quickly, or increase the absolute level of grip (determined by tyres/suspension setup) all it allows you to do is put MORE power down more easily, ie less chance of wheelspin, mainly in the wet.
so this means that drivers will lose traction later, and probably be travelling at a higher speed when they do so. their ability to stop is the same as if the car were fwd or rwd, so imo its a recipe for overconfidence

Depends what you want.
If you want a sports car, go for it. Any of the three is a good sports car for the price.
If you just want to drive around with economy, keep the Accord.
Rationally, Accord is the better car if you take into consideration insurance and fuel costs plus it attracts less attention from thieves. But then it is an Accord, so its efficient but quite bland and boring.

OK I just saw that.
Then sell the Euro and buy something else. If you can afford it I'd add some money and get RX8 because it looks like a sports car and is everything Euro cannot give you.
