hey all,

my cd5 has been overheating lately.. it seems to be loosing water and coolant from somewhere..

i had the radiator pressure tested and nothing came up.

ive checked under the oil cap for any milky white residue to suggest a cracked head and nothing.

its not the heater core because the carpets behind the pedals is dry and i am not getting any steam coming onto the windscreen.

i've also replaced the thermostat on it just a couple of days ago but its still lossing water..

today i managed to find the location of the leak. ive taken photos of it, was hard to take photos of but ive done the best i can.

can anyone help me identify what is actually leaking???

this is the leak itself.

it sits directly above the left inner CV joint.

i'd appreciate any help
cheers

could be the seal for the radiator drain valve.

Yeah looks like its in the water pump area.
replacing the water pump shouldnt cost much though.

from the arrow on the 1st pict. i suspect is water pump. mine was leaking there b4 .. in that area.

when you change water pump might as well change all your timing belts its on the same way :)
