I would like to know why my thread was removed??

Did you even bother to read the entire content, or did you only react on the fact that you saw a $ and automatically thought i was trying to sell something.

If you bothered to even use half of your commen sense, you would see that i posted in that area not knowing where else to post, because i did not mean for it to be a god damm trader post. i am not that ****ng stupid, and have been a member of this bloody forum to know better, and have contributed accordingly. I even pleaded and noted that this was mainly used for ideas on how to improve my product and was after members to give me there opinion. Yes, i had a price, and yes i had contact details, but, once again, it's intentions was for constructive criticism. As noted!!!!!!!!

After contributing to these forums for quite some time now, and trying to obide by your pathetic rules, this all i get in return. A loosely based, whimper of an infraction?!?!

Absolutely pathetic. Take your 10 point infraction and go *** yourself. To all the other mod nazi's on this ****ng forum, this is what i was referring to;

by me;
Hey guys, this is more of an opinion based post more then anything. Bit of constructive criticism of you like.

Lately, i've seen some talk about shifter extensions for existing short shifter's. Basically making gear changes quicker by reducing the distance from steering wheel to shifter.
Yes, this will increase the throw if raised, which is why this works best with an existing short shifter. Installed on a standard shifter will result in a super long throw.

I'm sure you guys have seen something like the Circuit///Hero product. http://www.circuithero.com/products.html

The extension i've come up with is based on the same principle. (hell, its only a aluminium shaft with a female and male thread right?)

Only difference with this design is the strength, the length, and the different applications and options.

Made out of Aluminium construction, the main model will be 150mm in length. Any size can be ordered. At the moment, Honda & Nissan can be made to suit.

I'll be advertising these from $35 depending on length. Postage around Aus is $5.00. Turn around time will be approx a few days depending on length

Really just giving people an option instead of spending hundreds on a new shifting mechanism. Some may not be able to access Circuit///Hero products either.

Mods, for convienience sake, i really couldnt find an appropriate location for this type of thread, so please just leave it in here as you probably would have deleted it anywhere else.

Dear Steer^Gimic,

You have received an infraction at Ozhonda Forums.

Reason: Unauthorised selling
-------
Dont publicly advertise a commercial venture. Pay to be a trader , or put it in your sig but no where else.
-------

This infraction is worth 10 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

I read through your now deleted post. You said you were going to advertise the product for $35 and that postage was $5.

You failed to mention that you also asked people to contact you with any queries and you gave your mobile and email details. "Any size can be ordered". Does that ring a bell?

Now that sort of post is commercial in nature. We allow people to sell personal items. But we don't want Ozhonda to be a free for all site where people sell goods commercially. If you want to use Ozhonda for a business purpose you need to support the site and become a trader. Commercial traders pay to keep this site running - for the benefit of everyone.

It is not fair on Ozhonda traders for people to get a free ride by selling commercial goods without supporting the site. Bennjamin tried to help you out by suggesting you put the advert in your signature.

no warning, just an instant demerit? if so, seems a bit harsh.

I hardly see the point in this thread ? You posted a thread that is 100% an advertisement of a commercial nature. That is , you are asking pointers and
any interest of your "product". Its marketing , and isnt allowed fullstop.

Mate , stop the negative comments towards me / mods whoever. You posted up and got it removed because it is openly a commercial post. So why are you complaining about it ?

yfin please understand that i have posted the EXACT same post on several other forums, and have not received nothing but constructive criticism.

the reason i posted the price and postage costs was to simply give people the idea. i was not trying to sell it. if i was trying to sell, i would have posted in the for sale section. like i said, i have been a member of this forum to know better.

also, the reason why i said id post the nissan item soon, is to show people that the nissan item is a completely different design, and just wanted to show people what i was making. if people where interested, then yes, they could simply shoot me email.

So your basically telling me, that anything with a '$' is a commercial post??

don't give me 'rules are rules' bollocks. i am no fkn noob. dont treat me like one.

ACTI0NMAN-1 (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/member.php?u=966) , it is a instant but temporary mark against his name.

Refer to this thread for more info about "INFRACTIONS"
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59373

you arent a noob but you are totally ignoring the basic rules.

Its not a personal honda item for sale
, its commercial and you are asking peoples opinions to make it better / asking for interest.
So it is deemed commercial and gets removed like the rest.

Terms and conditions of posting in the For sale section (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60154)

Read especially this section

- It is a private forum for members only and no commercial posts will be allowed. If you would like to sell items commercially in the Traders forum (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30), then PM wynode (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=3) or bennjamin (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=79) and they will send you the details. Any posts suspected to be commercial will be removed without prior notice. Ozhonda reserves the right to distinuish commercial posts from non-commercial posts. The question is , why didnt you pm the mod that did it rather than kick up a stink for nothing ? Its pretty poor form and shows you have poorer attention than most of the noobs in here.

Advertise your product in your signature or become a trader. Pretty simple request. Commercial traders pay - why should you get a free ride.

You were not banned - you received an infraction. Get over it. You can still post.

I fail to see the relevance of you referring to other forums. Some forums allow porn, some forums allow street racing. Who cares? This is Ozhonda and we have our own site rules.
