As far as I can remember the last time I looked underneath my 1994 EG GLi, there's no swaybar mounted on the rear.

Now, if I wanted to fit a whiteline swaybar, which diameter would be ideal to minimise body roll? I understand that >22mm will need stronger braces (?)

Just pick up an Stock EG5 VTi swaybar 12mm or 18mm not sure but at lest you wont twist anything but cheaper I would think

there has been a couple of problems with Whitelines 20mm and up sway bars on EG's, like cracking/ripping the frame. as far as i understand the best option would be a combination of DC2R rear sway on a ASR brace plate. BUT as u have said that urs dose not come with a sawy bar, you will need to get LCA's of an EG Si or Vti as these have the holes for the sway bar attachment.

I had an 18mm on my EG5, upgraded from the stockie and i tell yopu now the car was not rollin' at all!
This will do you unless you are giong to flat out track the car, even so i was very happy with this as an upgrade when combined with a bigger front sway and a full suspension package!
