View Full Version : HID problem
okay.. one of my headlights arent working
ive checked the bulb.. its fine
ballast is receiving power
all the fuses have been checked
so it must be the output wiring on the ballast or the ballast itself... right?
or is there anything else that can be the cause?

if the ballast is recieving power, doesn'tmean it's putting out power to the bulb.
what you should do, is swap ballasts over to see what is causing it.

is it made in china? usually all ballast made in china are swap able :p
Just go back to the dealer and ask for the warranty~
And yea...if it is made in China, it should be swap able~

In general, are the stock connections to the bulb connected to the ballast in an aftermarket HID system?

yeh mate, the ballast is connected to the globes, then they connect onto ur stock connectors
when u have a look at the whole setup its actually pretty easy to figure out
once all the wires are connected onto the ballast theres, either a 3 pin connector left or 2 seperate male blade connectors(red and black) these go into ur stock connector just like the normal halogen globes would.
the hardest part of installing HIDs would have to be trying to find a spot to mount the ballast(its pretty big...)
