New CIvic 07 - Reverse parking system & seat cover

Hi guys, Im getting my Civic vti next month. Im planning to get a reverse parking system and seat cover for the car. Could you guys recommand any shops or brands that are perfect for the Civic?? :p Thanks!!

OEM FTW. I got my parking sensors through honda when i bought my car for like $400 fitted which was also color coded.

lol. At that time, parking sensors were about that price. Well, little bit cheaper without installation. Then I would have to spend extra $$$ to paint it to my color. $400 for the OEM including install and color coded was a pretty good deal. So I took it. OEM Power. Car seats I dont have as i have FD2. But im not sure if the car seats have air bags for FD1 so you might need to use the OEM covers? (confirm?)

Aftermarket price back then (Aug 06) were around $300. Then i would have to spend extra $$ to color code it and then extra $$ to professionally install it. So I went with OEM as $400 i thought was reasonable at the time

I don't think Honda had OEM reverse sensors like Lexus did. Honda dealers just use aftermarket sensors.

I am worried about the color of it?? Can it match to my car's color? Can I buy it from ebay then take it to honda deal and ask them to install it for me ??

To paint it probably cost u $50. Honda will charge about $100-$150 to install. This is what my friend told me when he asked recently

I didnt have the balls to install it myself on a brand new car. One small slip up with the drilling and a nice big hole will appear on the bumper

i rang Honda to enquire about their freaking Honda seat skins. Expected the price to be $400 bucks for both front and back. The price almost knocked me off my feet when they said they cost $1199 fitted with gst. That is like the cash for my RIMS!

I can't find any decent seat covers in any of the auto shops. Only choice is to get them custom made by seat cover world or something probably pay $200-$300.

So let me know if you know someone good on ebay or where ever!

i had a bad experience with steel mate product. my car alarm, (2 way paging system),start faulty after 12 month, just in time, when the warranty expired.
such a good calculation by them !:(:(

Theres a guy on ebay that sells leather seats for about $800 in total. Why would you pay $1,200 for seat covers when you can get leather. And its brand new too

The guy is from melbourne according to the ebay location.
Regardless if its real or fake, its much cheaper than paying $1200 for seat covers. Even if it costs $1200 all up including installs, i would prefer to change my seats than pay OEM seat covers

Just take it to any paint shop. The color code will be printed on the passenger side door when you open it on the inside edge. Or you can find it under your bonnet. Just tell them the color code and they will paint for you. I would probably get Honda to install it. Itll cost you about $100 for labor, but thats for OEM kit, so maybe more for aftermarket. Just call around for quotes

Yes, i bought mine from the dealer when i bought my car. The price will include color coding and installation. Its up to you if u just want to buy the part and install it yourself or get a non Honda installer to do it for you, but the charges will be about the same. Id feel safer with a Honda installer.

I got mine down when I bought it from Honda as well, sure we might of paid more for the OEM, but if there is anything every wrong with them I will drop the car off at Honda and say fix them (whilst in warranty of course)

Speaking of which ever sine I got my towbar fitted my sensors occasionaly play up, anyone else had this problem. Not a Honda towbar, its better being a Hayman Reese.
