stock euro rims

hi guys,

i've recently bought a euro (last week), brand new from Honda (standard euro, not luxury). I'm looking to buy new rims/types for the car.

im just wondering do people actually buy these stock ones? i want to be able to spend as little as possible so i want to be able to sell the old ones.

anyone got an idea of how much they usually go for ?

not sure if ppl is gonna buy those stock rims. but if u had the euro r 17" than that would have more demand than this one

I had those ones and sold them with no hassle.

for example if someone has a euro company car and needs new tyres ($1000), they may simply buy new stock rims+tyres for $500 from eBay or the Trading Post and save $500, and chuck out the original rims (I guess u could sell them dirt cheap).

I actually haven't decided on what rims i exactly want but it's something along the lines of this.

yer as akina said....people are usually after the luxury 17" styled ones, however u could alwyas try other sites as ebay or trading post...never know a buyer might be interested..

ive seen the same set of rims, go for between 300 -700 depending on their condition....never realli seen these styled rims sold for a higher price, bt u never know mayb ull be lucky and get a high paying customer =]

suited perfectly well for black euros, take a look id recommend it if i was in your position i would be cheeering. well thats me not you.

I wanted to do the same thing with my euro. (Buy 17 or 18" wheels). The only issue is that when I was buying my car I have te test drove both Lux and Std euros and Std is so much smoother when driving over bumps due to 16" wheels and more rubber. Also I heard a lot of horror stories with people buying aftermarket wheels. Do your research!!!!

If u want your euro to look very good with the new wheels, it has to be lowered. I am not sure how much is that going to cost?

done canberra to brisbane twice on 18"s, well over 15hours each trip (done in one day i might add!)... no problems with comfort or road noise... arrived feeling just as fresh as i did driving the same trip in my parents '03 calais on stock 17"s... your suspension set up will play more of a part there (whether you just lower with springs or go full on coilovers)

in regards to hanling, 235 tyres give a shit load more traction then 215 stock :D 8" will be fine, 8.5 if your gonna seriously race, otherwise i'd stick to 8" if not 7.5" because of tyre prices! (235 approx $1200 for 4 tyres - 245 approx $1800 for 4 tyres)

Try and get 18x7.5 if possible. 8" is acceptable too but I think 7.5" is the sweet spot for the Euro.

8.5" is a bit too wide and it is not as if you need to run very wide rubber anyway.

IMO get 17s with 225/45s and lower it a bit.Anything bigger is overkill,not to mention the Euro was designed to ride on this rim,tyre combo.

i've already gotten my new rims, and i want to sell my original honda ones...

anyone got any experience in selling it? how much are they worth? i really have no idea....

i've been offered $400 by a friends friend...is that a reasonable price considering they are almost brand new rims and tyres (has done less than 1500km)

If they have heaps of tread, I'd ask for about $500, just for the tyres. Give the rims free as free gifts. :) Used ones with curb rash and little tread go for $200.
