when i post new threads i could used to press the enter key and it would start a new line.now when i do it and look at my thread.. theres no line breaki have to put < p. > *text* < / p. > (without the dots) at the start and end of each linei dunno if its my profile or cos im posting at work (new job) but its pissing me off!!anyone else?

It might be one of the settings in ur user cp,
I dont have that line break problem.

fark.. i have to stil type < sign followed my p then the > sign and same with the / to end the lines

Try user cp > edit options > message editor interface. Make sure its on enhanced or something. The editor probably normally just inserts those tags automatically when you press enter but hides them.

can't seem to replicate the problem here Ross.

Have you tried a different PC / web browser?

What OS and Browser are you using?
just tested fresh firefox 2.0
and fresh IE 6.0
on XP pro SP1
it seems to have no problems.

EDIT: could be no Java/flash causing issues?
does the computer have those installed?

wtf are you trying to do?
try pressing shift enter and see if it takes the cursor down a line.
