rims + colour code strips

hey guys im new here ... i just got my new car.. 1996 GLi hatch and its red.. was just wondering how big can you go with rims?? will 18" diablo racers fit ok?? i dont want to have to roll the gaurds.. has anyone got them or do you have 17"??

also there is ugly black strips around my car.. where can i buy red ones from??

first of all wth the black strips/mouldings, u cant get them in red. all u can do is to get them resprayed, just go to any panel shop and get the job done properly.

regarding wheels. 18" will fit, even 19" will. but it all depends on several factors. ie : width of the wheels, wheels offset, tyre profile, & how low u're dropping the car (tats if u do lower it).
