hey, i wanted to removal my centre console so i cud paint it.... ive read that ud have to remove the a/c button and other stuff but it seems shifty.. is there anyone that has experienced doing this and could tell me a step by step process? thanks...

I would suggest to leave it stock.Painted will just look tacky real soon...

I think if the whole interior is color matched or co-ordinated it will look good but if you just do the centre console I still think it will look tacky.But each to thier own.Post up pics afterwards plz.

Just some thoughts from someone who's been there and done the interior painting thing before. I regretted it on my old car after I decided it looked ricey, and then futhermore it's very easy to mark and scratch and a pain to repaint again.

to remove you ac console (the top part including the centre vents) you'll need to remove the center heat and hazard buttons for starters. than disconnect the cables and proceed to remove the two screws that are clearly visible once removing the buttons. now heres the tricky part...theres two more cables you need to disconnect before the whole console can come out. make sure you don't loose them bcoz they aren't very long and are a bitch to put back in.
IMO leaving the dash as is is fine. like beeza said it looks tacky. cheers.

yep. interior painted is too easy to get damaged with scratches n shit :thumbsup::thumbsup:
