^^yep depends what u wanna use it for
ie ur constanly gonna be on the track or if ur just after a bit better performance for the street
i've got the streets and they are already pretty harsh...
the track ones would be better if u are gonna be goin to track days alot or very often

11kg front 6kg rear

That spring rate is stupid.
1. the balance is all wrong it should be closer to 7-8kg in the rear.
The back will snap out and be unpredictable when driving at the edge
with that setup.

2. Your teeth will rattle out of your head with the springs being that hard on
normal roads.
I know some people like a firm ride but rates above 10kg on a road car is just uncomfortable.

maybe 8kg 6kg?

I'm personally running 4.5kg front 3.5kg rear linear on my Cuscos. Thats only slightly harder than the Type R progressives on the DC2R.

Its comfortable enough to drive everyday and on long trips it doesn't hurt your back even with the crappy coupe seats. It still has enough handling to take on the twisty stuff when i turn up the dampeners(with upgraded sway/tie and castor kit)

At the end of the day i wouldn't put D2s on my car in the first place.

Contact 'Newcivic' as he might know the spring rates between the track and street versions. But I know on the Corolla the track springs may as well be solid. But at the end of the day my advice is to buy a good brand (Cusco, etc) second hand.

yeah i noticed that my HSD HS (bottom of the range) coilovers are 12f and 8r... this is very stiff in a car that weighs udner 1000kg! but with the damper set up correctly they are too bad. still stiff but not as bouncy, just rock hard.

i wouldnt be suprised if the D2's are very similar in their set-up.

just a heads up..
