Id say this should be in the lounge...

As for the best place - do you want the best price? best customer service? or the nearest retail outlet to you?

...or a bunch of subjective replies?

PM Civic_Si (Hanson) on OH. He can source you Eibachs etc at a good price. This thread can stay here (if not Technical). There's no way it belongs in The Lounge. CIV73C is after springs for his Civic, so past experience from Civic owners would be relevant.

What springs have you currently got now? And what size wheels? Are they aftermarket? If so, what is your stock size, etc. There should be other EG owners who can give you some advice and past experience.

dude i got my springs from allsprings in moorebank, they sell JUMBOZ springs they are $250 for 4 and will do any height, i asked them to make them extra firm also to avoid scrubbage with my 18s

i have mates that have superlows and i rekn they are too soft, plus u dont know exactly how much they are lowered. i enquired about getting superlows at ozzytyres for my car and i asked them how low they are and they said "roughly between 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches"

maybe call them and ask them, they might be cheaper for an EG

hey .. i just realised. measuring from the gaurd to ground might not work??????????????

coz i had 15"rimz b4... which had my car bout 10-12cm off the ground..
after putting my 17" rimz.. it has raised the car about an inch..

soo.. measuring to the ground wont help.. ??.. i dont think?
is that rite?

allsprings is on heathcote road in morebank, if u get onto heathcote road from newbridge road its about 500 metres on your left, its a big green building and has a big sign out the front

personally i think jumboz are better than king springs as the ride is firmer, like i said before i have a few mates with king springs on their cars and i have never like the ride on them...i think that the firmer ride feels better when going around corners as well

if u want a second opinion about JUMBOZ just ask steve (MRPLOW), i think he has them on his car also...

kings super lows are so short i dun tink u need spring clamps. u only need to compress the stock springs to put back the strut cap. i tink...

nobbs
20-07-2004, 09:15 PM
dude i think the best thing to do is find someone with an eg that is as low as you want yours to be and ask them how low they have gone...

that is one thing that i dont like about king springs, you will never get an accurate answer as to how low "superlows" are...just go to all springs and get them to make them the height u want, they wont cost u more than $250 for all 4 springs...

if jax said that ur car already has superlows and its a 2 inch drop, then go and get some 3inch lowered springs and then u will have that 1 inch extra drop that you want...

CIV73C
20-07-2004, 09:25 PM
yeahh.. i calld up All Springs like u said..
