Hey guys, could anyone tell me if the break pads are at the front or back on an 1989 :honda: Prelude? It's front wheel drive, automatic.
That would help so much! Thanks!

Basically doesn't matter if the car is front, rear or all wheel drive you will have some sort of braking system at each wheel. Now it all depends if they are disk brakes or drum brakes. Typically most cars will have disk brakes at the front, and these use brake pads. Some older cars or non-performance cars will have drum brakes at the rear instead of disk brakes, which operate slightly differently (although I am not too sure how, never delt with them before). But basically drum brakes are not as good as disk brakes and are installed by manufactures due to cheaper cost.
I am pretty sure the prelude has disk brakes all round (someone can correct me if I am wrong) so that will mean that there will be brake pads at both the front & the rear of your car. These are housed inside the caliper and are fairly easy to replace if you have the right tools. Have a search in the DIY section of this forum for some step by step instructions on what to do.
