MINI UPDATE with a few early picks .. better ones to come!!
It's finally done, i picked up my 2007 Civic Sports - Black Pearl.
all round body kit (honda factory) no spoiler though, i don't like spoilers.
plus all the usual stuff, moonroof, standard mags.
Also i got the BLUE ACCENT Interior lighting for the floor so it shows a nice blue glow along the floor at night time.
Pictures to come.
I wasn't actually expecting much ... wasn't even excited when I came to pick the civic up ... I loved my Artic Blue EURO had a kick arse sound system in it and it was a dream to drive plus it was the first car I'd ever bought so it had tremendous personal value to me.
HOWEVER, after seeing the black civic all shining and lit up at night time with the dark tint accentuating the blue interior floor lighting it i thought ..
DAMN THAT LOOKS pretty freakin good.
Pictures to come soon.

Good choice. Accord Euro and Civic is pretty much the same car, but 2007 > 2004.

Nah, the best car is the car that you are happiest with. He prefers the hot black civic (which has leather too!), so nothing wrong with changing from an Euro to the Civic. Also, the interior is almost the same size between both cars.
The Civic is a nice ride, but Honda released a Limited Edition Euro today with sat nav, rear parking sensors and fogs for only $1K more than the base model.
The Euro doesn't have the grey leather trim or sunroof, but it does have the bigger donk - 140kW versus 114kW.

HAHHAHAHA!
 thanks for pointing out the obvious
Its always gonna be a case of car costing x dollars with a certain trim level or a different car costing close to x dollars with a different trim level...

Yeah, the limited edition tourer is very very nice value. That sat nav is a 3k option on the Luxury.

The problem i had with buying the luxury Euro, it was my first option by the way was that the body shape is being replace within the next year or so ... i'll wait a couple of years to switch back to the euro after they work out the initial new model kinks as invariably there will be some ..

Mate ... i tried and tried to get a pic of the blue accent lighting .. i turned off the auto flash ... turned off all the lights in the garage ... i could see the blue glow on the view screen of the digital camera but every time after the picture was taken, you could only see the smallest speck of blue light it was very wierd .. i tried like 20 times from different angles just wouldn't register in the final photo for some reason.
I have a Canon ixus70 if anyone knows a setting i could use that'd be much appreciated.

Yeah I would really like to see the accent lighting also. Have you got the camera set to AUTO mode buddha? Could imagine it being a hard photo to take though...

Maybe you can change it to "night", "low light", "indoor" or "slow sincronize flash"

Trick is to use a slow shutter speed, but not to long as you would overexpose the lighting.
Don't use flash, defeats the purpose of showing off the accent lighting, don't use other modes for night time use either, they are not designed for what you're trying to achieve.
You need to go into full manual control to do what I described though, that's if your camera has such an option.
Low ISO + slow shutter + tripod = results

How much does the accent lighting cost? Is there somewhere you can go to look at the pricing of all Aus Honda's accessories?

To be honest the accent lighting is a bit of waste of money.
If you dont mind cords hanging out you can get same or equal effect from a supercheapauto led light.

Well, at the time of purchase i had a look around supercheap and the barn. 3 sets of leds would have set me back about $100. Then to wire it up at that time, got a few quotes about $100. About $100 more so i went with OEM. Didnt really mind then as it was a gift from my uncle for getting a new car :p

Shimian, I noticed in your avatar that you seemed to have a factory bracket for that very nice little navi/HU screen there, can i ask where u got it from
I know the guys in the states have the bracket but it's for those darn left hand drives only.

Do you mind telling us how much your civic sports is?
Is it manual or auto?

If you had the chance to buy again would you stretch to the CTR?

Not CTR. I like the interior but outside looks a bit toyish. The only thing i regret is buying OEM full body kit. Even thou i got it for about $2k at the time, i would be happy to spend $3.5k for the oiginal mugen kit
