typeG, a good panel shop can do a good skin job. u cant tell. thats how people fix car door anyway... cos it costs too much to replace the whole door frame. its the spray paint that often cause the problem. colour matching and good spray job is pretty difficult to achieve. :)

colour code? wat u guys gonna spray? there wont be any colour that 100% match our cars... even there is, our car paints will fade due to sun and rain. so even with the right colour code when spray on the car, colour will still be a little bit different. just go to autobarn and get the closest colour to the one that u need.

for engine cover also need the plastic primer (i think thats wat its called)

U can go to an exhaust place like Daaldar at Box Hill which i think the price gonna be okay or go to a performance place (might do a better job yet more expensive) like Protek. Get a quote c how much. Otherwise i suggest u get the x-force full header system with b-pipe. Just use the b-pipe. Next time u can still sell the x-force header + b-pipe when u decided to sell ur car. Quality of the x-force b-pipe 100% better than custom made and i am sure the price of the custom made b-pipe is not gonna be cheap anyway if u wan to make a quality one. i wanna get the hi flow cat soon. wanna do it together? maybe cheaper ....

i went to an exhaust place... ask to make a pipe after the bpipe to the rear muffler with hi-flow cat in the middle... wanna charge me $650.... i am sure bpipe easily 300 plus... i am pretty sure the b-pipe would fit... show me next time wat ur header looks like... the size of the pipe i am pretty sure the same... should be 2.25"

i know what u mean but for my car, i dun want any doggy parts on as Xforce sound like some replica Apexi feel for me.
also the quality of the pipe make a big different as well.

custom bpipe on my ITR b4 are better than spoon bpipe at the end so I may ask for a quote from there first. but i will need a Cat and bring it to the shop as there are some good branded Cat in trader forum...

normally when u change the header and the b-pipe, its better to change the rest of the exhaust pipe especially the restricted muffler. if not change, the car may make funny noises, cos better flow at the front and restricted at the rear (so at least change the rear muffler and for aftermarket rear muffler it will be a lot noisier). With the aftermarket header and bpipes, the engine itself will be noisier as well (but not too much). the car bcomes more responsive though. there will always be a trade off for better power. hope this helps.

OK guys.. since no place is available.. you guys will have to do the DIY some other day or do it one at a time.. Unless you want to do it at the isolated park... however, the meet is still ON and we can go for a cruise and take some pictures and have some coffee... It is pitty that my place is not available or convinient for reasons and so does Danny's. Trust me, if I can.. I will ... but not this time... Hard to compare with other states as they might have members that work in the workshop and we don't.

What do you guys think? Still ON for the meet, cruise and blow water (BTW, blow water means chit chat)? Still can do some minor DIY .. but nothing major e.g. Changing headers and stuff.. unless you really want to do it in the park...

not as loud as the spoon one..... but try the noise in your ear for 3 hours drive, it will make ur ears ring.....

Not unless you keep revving it.. lol. Ohh .. Well, that's the way you enjoy driving it I suppose... I find it loud only if I revv it hard.. it steady around 80 - 100km/h.. It is quite okay.
