Need help choosing

Just curious, i am trying to get my EJ8 ready for turbo and spending a little money on NA mods to just boost the performance of the car now and when i have the turbo in like cams and IM ECU,

I am looking at getting either Skunk2 cam or Akmee Drivetrain kit (cam cam gear and springs) i know i dont NEED it for the turbo set up but dont care. Can any one else suggest other mods under 500ish that can be added to give the car that lil something extra, also is it worth buying a S100/tune now or just buy it for the turbo set up and wait to tune it turbo.

do u hav a list of wat u need for ur turbo conversion? makes sense to just spend money towards the turbo kit. also no point getting the s100 on a n/a setup and then tuning it, then doing a turbo conversion and doing a TUNE AGAIN, waste of money.

bottum line, spend money on ur turbo conversion parts, get the turbo conversion done, tune it with the s100 once and that will definitely giv u more power :)

yeah i understand but turbo might not be for a while away depending on certain things .... and the turbo kits a Greddy one from the US so its got everything i need but intercooler and BOV injectors.... adding injectors to the NA set up now wouldnt hurt ....

i started off going NA in my B18b, but now i am planning on boosting my car jsut because its more money friendly and bang for buck as i am a poor uni student haha.

so i have pretty much wasted a fat load of money doing i/h/e and tuning where now i want to boost and could have with that money i spent. oh well this is what cars do to you haha.

but seriously if you can wait i reckon you should start collecting parts for your car turbo, rather than buying a greddy kit or something. Maybe you should get an exhaust to start with as you can still use that for the turbo.

:thumbsup: his rite abt wat i sed, decide first wat u want, that is either n/a or turbo. then u go from there. no point spending money on parts which u cant use for a turbo setup.

Cam and Im you can use for a turbo set up give it that lil extra something as i understand it IM isnt to bad for a turbo set up and cam not to sure if it be overly good but i wanna eventually replace my internals over time so might as well start some where .... and i am turboing thats for sure
