When you first start the car, the light is off, meaning VSA is on.
When traction control/VSA starts to work, the light flashes on to show you that it is working.

That is when you press the VSA button and it lights up..

BUT if it lights up while you are driving, then....

another question about VSA on a euro... when you turn it "off" is it actually 100% off?

Eg... with some traction control systems the button must be held down for x amount of seconds untill the system is 100% off.

Yeah, when you press the button and the light comes on, it's 100% off. You can wheelspin, wheelhop and slide your car without interference.

But ABS still functions. Only VSA turns off.

And yeh, have a read of the manual. There are plenty of features to find and learn

VSA = Very slippery activation ;) or the fun button :)

Note if you dyno your car, VSA must be turned off and when finished and back on the light takes a few seconds (20 or so) to realise the car it's out of control anymore :)

^ lol. Does the car have an accelerometer or something? How else would it know if its on a dyno or the road?

Through the wheel speed sensor. The speed of the front and rear wheels are different on a dyno (rear wheels not spinning).

I believe that I had it on when I dynoed my car and after that before I drove the car off all my emergency lights came on. Gave me a fright cos I thought that I might have broken something. Anyway in the end the lights just went off and everything is fine. Weird.

I find that a lot of times I'm getting coins out of the box below the VSA, I accidentally turned off VSA in numerous occasions.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or it is only me who's clumsy. Obviously I notice it like 10 secs later and its not biggie but I would probably have liked the VSA button to be a bit harder to de-activate I guess"!

Hmm... I put my coins in the drink holders compartment in the centre... so never dealt with that problem

I've also suffered the "Warning light ghost" once my Airbag lights came on... stayed on... then 20mins later turned off... and has never done it again!(apart from when you start the car.)...
