Hey all,

Is there any difference with a b16 out of a EF crx and a EG civic B16? Cos Ichiban has one for $2295 half cut. Or is it just better to buy an actual eg half cut?

Thanks

Rico

It's not about under the table mate, that is if you want to actually register the car with that engine in it!!

Cannot put an older engine into a newer chasis.

And its a cable clutch , so it wont be practical to get it as the civic is hydro.

Better off getting an EG half cut.

well actually, From the vehicle standars information sheet 6;

To ensure continued compliance with emission standards, any replacement engine should come from a vehicle
which is subject to the same or more stringent emission control requirements. An alternative is for an earlier engine
to be upgraded during reconditioning to more recent engine specifications. All anti-pollution devices should be
fitted and functional.

Thus u CAN, put in an older engine, provided its up to spec with ur current cars emission's standards
