hey fellas, i've just swaped over a gear box, the gear box i was using is a 1990 CRX B16A cable clutch gear box, and the one i swapped over to is a 1991 Integra B18 Non Vetec cable clutch gear box.

Is there a gear ratio difference or final drive difference between the two box's. 60km/h in fourth seems about the same, but 5th gear at 100km/h seem very different?

Im pretty sure the B18 has longer ratios and has a 4.2FD?

they are completly different gear ratios. The b18a/b are longer by far. ie in 5th gear at a 100Km i sit at 3k and in the b16 gear box it sits at around 3600RPM

Indeed, B16a gearbox has close gear ratios to keep the revs high between shifts.... I bet your revs drop below VTEC with the 1st to 2nd shift now?

it is definatly different, i havn't been reving the car to much yet cus i have just put a 1.5way Cusco LSD in which i am trying to run in a little before my next race on the 19th. I have rev limiter set at 8500, i'll give it a squirt and have a look
