spend a little on an amp for the splits and then the rest on a good amp for your sub maybe look for a 2nd hand amp for the splits

depends on what u want to do...if u want to run the sub and splits off one amp then u should concider a good 4 channel amp.

so u will run the splits off ch 1 & 2 and then the sub will be off ch 3&4 bridged

amps that are around that price would be alpine V12 range or even an audison or eclipse for $600

if u got alpine mite as well stick with all alpine. get the MRD-m605 retail $599 output 1x400rms at 4 ohm. then run the splits of the head-unit till u can afford a second amp. i wouldnt recomend getting a 5-channel and running subs and speakers of same amp. i stick to one for each pair generally. one amp for front stage, one amp for rear stage and one for subs (or one for each sub)

you wont get the sub to get up and boogee unless your able to get 2 amps, one for the sub and one for the splits as your max. $600 budget wont cut it im afraid.

what do you run icacha? i got a w202e running stock atm whilst i wait for my focal 165k2p's and 4.75 .and have 2 27wx's runnin of the 1.800 focal. (haha yes i like focal)

in aggreance with icacha. and there is not point in buying 2 cheap amps for the same price either. the sound is only as good as the stage b4. eg your sub can only sound as good as your amp, and your amp can only sound as good as the signal being fed from the cd player

Use this Alpine Amp MRV-F545. Mate has one and when he bought it from a Alpine dealer they told him this amp was designed to give a great 3 channel mode power ratings for a pair of splits and a high powered subwoofer from the Alpine range.

Channel 1&2 are 125w RMS each @ 4ohms

Channel 3&4 Bridged are 500w RMS @ 4ohms

http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=212

RRP $799

Chase this up and you might be able to get it for around $600-650

I saw this amp before but I thought a MONO amp was better suited for a sub?

But i will ask around for this one most definately.

As for digital designs anyone know more about these?
