Hi All,

Will be booking my 06 Vti civic for its 12 mnth, 10000km service in the next week or so.

What are details/issues that I can check out on my civic prior to bringing it into the dealer so if needs be I can get them to fix/rectify them if they are indeed there on my car.

Any info is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Fab:wave:

Whatever you are not satisfied with. ;)

Isn't your first service meant to be at 6 months?

Oppps....my mistake. 2nd service. 1st is actually at 6mnths, but is very minor.

if you don't have any question, tell them not to do anything else apart from what the factory service requires....that means no petrol or engine oil additives and rubbish like that.

If you haven't already, get them to check your speedo readout against another VTi on the road.

It was the first thing I got them to do at the 1000km service, my VTi-L didn't feel like the speedo matched exactly what I was actually doing (I know there is always a discrepancy, but this didn't feel right). They were able to confirm that the speedo was showing a higher speed than I was actually doing by x% (can't remember the figure) but it was still just within the allowed range. Didn't change anything but it made me feel a bit better :) It's always good to know, especially in this age of speed cameras - it's good to know which side of the "actual" speed you're sitting on, and roughly by how much.

Have you had the driver side window seal replaced? Or did they fix that in the '07 update? Freaked the sh*t out of me when it first happened, lucky I had a mate on hand that had seen it before on a Subi - and was able to show me how to fix it temporarily.

The boot liner has been replaced? Or did they fix that too in the '07?
