Does anyone know how to adjust the headlight low beam up and down on a Civic FD2?
I noticed a cog looking thing but it has a nut bolt on the end and cannot move it. Should i unbolt and try to move the cog? Or am i looking at the wrong place?

cheers

u are looking at the right place... use a phillips screwdriver to adjust the teeths. there has been a thread for dc2. same concept!!!

ive tried to move the cog with a flat screw driver. Im scared that it will snap. Where do i put the philips head? Cos the back of it is a bolt. Unless i use a wrench?

should be under the hood, just look straight down where the head light units are and should be a small gear. stick a phillips head in and screw away. make sure both are the same level

if you have a socket wrench that will fit inside then use that but otherwise phillips head is fine, wont snap anything, stick it in the cog and turn

I changed my stock halogens to some white halogens. It seems that the beam is aiming up high cos when i drive down the freeway, it illuminates the signs up above.

it usually takes a few god turns before you notice any change. just use masking tape make sure the car is a good few metres away from the wall, and mark the original point then adjust.

Why not find an empty street with your lights on,
walk about 3 car lengths infront of the car,
then bend down to where you think you would sit if you were in an oncoming car and check if it's causing any sort of glare from the headlights.

If the headlights are not causing any sort of glare, then you're fine, no need to adjust them.
