EK ashtray light question

Hi again all.. thought it'd be a while longer, but here's me pestering you again. Can't help it if you guys know where it's at right? ;)

But yes. Turned on my headlights the other day and noticed the light from the ashtray pointing some random direction. I didn't even notice it always stayed on before. So does anyone know where that little light bulb is *supposed* to be? Currently, I've just pushed it back up to the right of the ashtray, so much so it sorta shines on that area just in front of the gearbox where I usually have a couple of cd's. That's not right is it..

it goes on the right hand side of your ash tray. pull off the trim and tape it down.. you need to pull off the trim under your dash first. then open your glovebox. and unscrew the screws for the ash tray trim/garnish. you should see a hole there where its supposed to be

Awesome. Thanks for that. Just clarifying though, is it supposed to always be shining into the ashtray or is it shining outside a bit?

shines into hte ash tray. when yo uclose the ash tray you shouldnt see the light. eve nthough its still on

lol. There I was thinking hey it's pretty handy having the light shine on my cd's. Thanks dude!
