Hi Guys,
was just wondering if you can help out a noob...

I recently purchased a turbo kit for my 95 Integra Vti-r with manifold, turbo, dumppipe, surge tank, intercooler and custom piping specifically for my generation teg ( the previous owner had it all custom made and decided to get a new car before installation).

I am still considering what management system to use but my actual dilemma is my air con. it doesn't seem to have enough room for the custom piping. Would i need to remove all my a/c?? And if so, could i possibly have some sort of aftermarket A/C installed in the car later by a specialist??

Thanks in advance

well we can't tell unless you post a pic of the manifold!?

But if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.........but depending on how much it doesn't fit by, you maybe able to relocate the AC

U purchased a kit that wasnt made for aircon, u defaintly wont be able to keep ur aircon. Im sure the turbo will stick out was 2 much, and now allow for ur aircon-radiator. If u decide to change the manifold, u will have to alter all ur custom piping. best advice, loose the aircon and be happy with the weight savings.

Man

I just got my aircon removed cause the compressor was in the way of getting a 3" dump pipe from the manifold in there.

Shit happens.

Damn its gonna be hot in summer ;)

Just loose the a/c. If you really want it you are going to have to go through the extra cost of re-making the piping and maybe even the manifold. If i was in your position, i'd just get rid of the a/c. Weight saving.. and who needs a/c anyway in a boosted car.

i need it u fool :P sif remove AC, hardcore or not, any half decent kit will let u keep AC with their setups.

one word, sidewinder :)
the best manifold for all ur A/C and 3" DP needs.

sidewinder = massive tube length though, and lots of heat!

yeah true, will be equal length though... cant have ur cake and eat it too.. have to tradeoff somewhere!

yuk, sidewinder gotta be the biggest poof ass manifold i ever seen. thats not a personal attack weq, but if ur into that sorta thing ;)

but seriously, plenty of manifolds that will klet u keep AC, if u ever go turbo and they get rid of ur ac, tell them to stick the ac unit up there u know what :) cos relaly its not that hard to get a 3 inch dp to fit.

or alternatively, a 2.5" dump pipe from the turbo outlet and a seperate dump for the wastegate. Also works much better than just a 2.5" but doesnt really need much extra room (works well assuming the turbo outlet is no more than 2.5" and the wastegate dump pipe is at least the diameter of the wastegate outlet)

Yeh thanks for ur opinions guys. I called up croydon and asked them about installation and all that, and yeh they told me that provided my manifold is an AVO one then I shouldn't have any problems and there's no need to ditch the aircon. However I don't think my manifolds going to be the problem, it maybe be the intercooler piping that will have to find its way through all the aircon crap. I'll let uz know how it goes..
