need HELP with DA9, FIRST BUYER.

Hi, i love hondas! thats just the way i am. and bang for my bucks would be a DA9, pretty quick and will thrash those eg's. i have 0-4k to spend! theres this guy selling a DA9 thats 189,000kms! no rego. 1990 model! what do you guys think? he wants it for 2.5k ! do you think thats a good price? give me your opinoun! i need total advice ! i love da9's ! :)

ahh.. the DA9.. sort of miss mine already :(

anyway, they make a great first car. get a compression test done. that will tell u if its got damaged piston rings, blown gasket, damaged valves and a few other things i cant remember. it pretty much gives u a good indication of the condition of the engine. for 2.5k, its a good price if there is nothing seriously wrong

i sold mine for 2 or 2.5 not long ago... ahhhhhhhh miss those things...
get alot for it, power options rah rah rah
jus check out if its got any rust anywhere or anything like that...

get a full inspection done or if not atleast ask for a pink slip before you buy it, or if its been outta rego for a while ask for blue slip

heres the low down guys.
PROBLEMS!
1. car is lowered
2. exaust tip
3. front wind screen fix quoted from obrien $391 installed
4. rear passenger seat quoted from wreckers $250 installed
5.wheels dont look road worthy enough need them ALL replaced.


i need a LS stock exaust, i need springs to get it back to the proper height.

WORST OF ALL.
it has rego till nov 17 2007, BUT it doesnt have plates for some reason.
the man selling the car wasnt there so his lil brother gave me the low down of the car.

he doesnt know why the plates arent there..
so STUP*D!!!

and i gotta get it checked by rta inspection and then get it registered, and all this other cr*p.

i said 1750 or forget it, but i dont evn think its worth buying for 1500.

bahh so im still in the market for a car. maybe HITMAN's 91 liberty i might intrested in besides that still looking. might go to the pickles auctions tomorrow with my old man. =D

start looking up a new car mate, that car by sounds of it will cause a shit load more headaches then what you've listed. sounds a bit dodgy you lose plates and didn't get them replaced asap

Watch out for the tyres, they're $120 each for the odd DA9 size.. found that out the hard way.

I recommend a thorough inspection before you do anything else, that is if you really are interested in the car. Look around at other cars in the same price range and see how it compares.
Like NSPYRE said, it's a great first car, you don't need a lot of power but before long you WILL want more :p
Just make sure that if it is a good deal, you also include the cost of anything you have to repair or replace.
