FYI Spoon now make dry carbon hoods for 06+ Euro's/TSX's. This was from another forum and the estimate price is $2500USD, not cheap but very nice. :D

With these dry carbon super thin and light hoods, they flex if left open using the bonnet rod for long periods. Also, you might need bonnet pins to hold them down in addition to the latch, especially if you do a lot of freeway driving.

It's the old Phase kit. Spoon must have bought over the design when Phase closed down.

Dayam thats freaking sweet, nice body kit as well. Shame about the price and the fact that they are illegal to use on the road.

Do people seriously buy these to save weight?

You can save quite a few kilos of sprung weight just by picking a tyre that is lighter. Few people bother with that though.

Agreed. These kinds of mods should be the last step after all the other avenues of weight reduction have been exhausted.

Ive had the bonnet off a few times :eek: didnt feel too heavy

are the liberty's made of paper :p

They are made out of aluminium, just like the bonnet of the S2000 and NSX. :p

that bonnet is hot but 2500USD is asking for alot..........for 2500USD u can do alot more mods that can help you save weight.....

also with this money u can get a performance mod which will be better compromise for the weight reduction.

Yeah my 02 Liberty had one,very light.They're easy to dent though.
