hey all i might have a problem on my hands here, i have a 90 teg with mildly built engine, fuel pressure regulator, walbro 255 fuel pump and i for a fuel pressure gauge, and its showing that im running 60-80 psi while im idiling and i dont kno what while driving (its in the engine)

is this bad? i have a full atand alone ECU and i told them about it and they said they would change it to suit the tune but it was still very high...

Thanks

Is the vacume hose connected?

Even still it is high.

looks like the lied :P, is it a sard fuel reg? there is a port at the back of it that can be adjusted with some "pressure testing kit" uncle did it for me here. zac at cypher could do it for you no drama

cry me a river i have to go there too and its worth the trip. but if you want to go local go anywhere i guess. most mech shops can drop the pressure for you.

agree with both points.

also did they actually tune down the afpr when installing the fuel pump, bigger size pumps increase overall FP due to additional flow rate.

Yeh, we have spoken on MSN. He said he recently installed a new Walbro HP fp, so that explains the new high pressure.

Also he is not sure about the vacum hose on the reg. Hes getting his tunner to look at it and adjust the pressure.

you should be half of that pressure. I think the gauge is stuffed

try tap the gauge a few times firmly with a spanner or something to see if its stuck, then start the car with the vacuum line off the regulator, see what it reads. you should then turn it down so the pressure sits at about 45-55psi max. try then reply.
Thanks
