Generally how long does it take for the letter to appear in your box after being snapped by stationary speed camera?

Which state are you in? I'm in Perth.

My friend waited up to 4 months to get his fine.

I'm still waiting for mine... was snapped about 2 1/2 months ago

Just interested because I heard the other day police are going on strike and may stop processing fixed speed camera fines (Victoria only)

They will continue processing them shortly.

Give it a month - give or take 2wks.
Fines take ages to generate sometimes.

i was snapped on the westgate and the fine didnt come until about 4 months later! i forgot about it and my mother found it in the mailbox loll

Yeah fines take a while to get into the mail. arnt they sent out after it's been set into the system or something.

Thats what i remember hearing, and it takes a while to be set in, this could be the reason why it's delayed to be sent out in mail.

Fines, mainly 2wks to reach you. the fastest, but then it does take up to 1-2 months or more.

Other than that, safe driving and becareful aye.

gees i guess i am lucky then,
cause out of all the POSSIBLE fines that i was afraid of,
if it didn't reach me in two weeks then i was in the clear.

Then again i am in Bris, which would explain y all the popo r so few on the streets

Mates of mine got their's in 2 weeks but another took a month and a half. Sometimes you get lucky and the camera is outta film and it will flash but it wont take your photo. Thats a fixed camera mind you

a mate of mine got his first fine in 2 weeks, his 2nd and 3rd fine came at 1month intervals. he no longer drives now lol

guess its luck of the draw

some rumours i have heard (in QLD)

1. that the fixed red-light cameras are digital, no film. images get sent directly to where-ever, no need for film.

2. Fixed red light cameras are also now fixed speed cameras (as of sometime in august)

3. half of all fixed red-light cameras are fake, nothing in them

^-- have proven this with 1 camera near my work, speed thru redlight , nothing happens. done this over the last 8months no flash, no fine.
