Hey, im abit confused about ECU's atm, are they retunable or not? Im planning to swap to the P28 ECU for a 'mini-me conversion' and i always thought that factory ECU's were unprogrammable, but everyone is always saying P28 are a good choice due to easy programability etc.
So, is the actual P28 ECU reprogrammable, or am i totally wrong here?
Thanks

You can get it chipped to run Altered maps. Such as Crome, Uberdata, hondalog.
Or you can add aditional addon management like vafc/safc or hondata.

Ah k, so do i have to get it chipped to add additional addon management?

Is that a usdm or a jdm ecu. is doing the jdm's the same as the usdm's but with a smaller ecu?

makes no difference as its a chipped obd1 ecu. so i can run most maps.

i wondered if it made a differance. The US obd1 ecu is phyisically lot larger than the jap obd1 ecu. cheers mate
