Can someone tell me what I'll need for basic bolt-ons to make the most of my setup without going overboard i.e: I/H/E, FD and clutch. Will just a piggyback do?

whast u have there yeah should be fine. unless you wanna spend that little bit mroe and go cams/valve springs/IM/TB/adj cam gears? and find i guess a good tuner. but if your looking just bolt on, the i/h/e and e-manage should keep u happy for awhile? haha make the most of the tune.

I'd love a turbo eventually but still being on P's can cause a few problems (also illegal). Need to refine my driving a lot too.
Spending $10k over a couple of years doesn't phase me too much.

So do I need a Hondata S300 or can I get cheaper? I've read that the lower piggybacks can be harmful because of limitations in tuning.

s100 will do you.

it will but as far as i am aware s100 and s200 need to be tuned by hondata dealers. that means james from hondata will have to tune it (unless dynodave or someone comes to melb).

s300's can be tuned by anyone pretty much

that is incorrect, there is alot of misleading information. the vafc tunes both narrow and wide throttle at the throttle point you select in the software.

horses for courses, your air fuel curve does not change all that much with light i/h/e modifications. changing to a motec or even autronic will not yield much past what the VAFC will net you, and one will cost you 3k installed and tuned, and one will cost you about 500 installed and tuned. makes sense to use what you need and no other.
