ey guys,
curious to know if injectors off a mitsubishi gsr (galant/lancer), are plug and play in b series, as i have noticed that in the states alot of people use these injectors in their cars when going turbo, from what i know lancer ones are 390cc and galant ones are 440/450cc,
has any one here put gsr injectors in, if so how was the installation of them, plug n play or any modification needed, if so what was done?
thanks

1.8 Lancer GSR injectors are 390cc, VR4 Galant are 450, and I think Evo's are about 550cc
Maybe post on a US forum for this though

so do they fit into b-series motor or not?
they should fit in with a small mod to the fuel rail. evo's should be 440cc.
im using gtr injectors which are also 440cc in my b16, fuel rail was extended as they were slightly longer than stock ones

i got a set of GSR 440cc injectors, waiting to go, will let you guys know how it went and wat was involved
all will fit the fuel rails. Some may require small mods to the injector o-rings at the manifold level. All these injectors talked about require a resister box though.

just an update, i got these working, all that was needed doing is to mod the o-rings to suit the fatter GSR injectors, and instead of resistor box, i soldered 10w10ohm resistors to the yellow/black wire (power) on each injector, runs pretty good

Im going to quote myself to re-inforce the fact i dont talk sh*t like so many ppl on this forum. All that comes outa my mouth is the cold hard truth.

pretty sure they are low impedence OBD1 injectors.
So will need a resister box (or a made up one) and obd1 clips

i didn't have to do any modding to the clips, they just plugged straight in

bonus just need a resistor box or do some soldiering

i prefer the resistors as you can hide them, but with the box, its a bit hard to hide

but if you get a honda resistor box no individual soldiering
Hey Limbo,
> but if you get a honda resistor box no individual soldiering
Any more info on how to swap 'peak & hold' injectors for saturated ones without soldering?
I though they had to be spliced into the loom.
Nick.

can't rem, i only looked into it a while back when i was getting injectors, sorry. I couldn't source a new box so i neded up getting saturated instead.
my memory is that you plug them up like normal injectors and run the box to it. Might need to do a google to find it. Otherwise you need to put wire resistors to each injector

FYI:
4g63 info:
Standard blue top Galant vr4's are 450cc
rs yellow top Galant vr4's are 510cc
evo 1 - 3 are 510cc
rx7's should also work as we use these for the mitsu's, they are 550cc's.

i got some gsr injectors for sale if anyone needs them for this upgrade:P
> Standard blue top Galant vr4's are 450cc
referred to as 450cc DSM injectors in the US, cheap and common on Ebay.
Blue tops are 1st gen, single fuel cone spray pattern.
Black tops are 2nd gen, twin fuel cone spray pattern. Better suited to 4v heads.
Both are peak & hold, so a resistor box will be needed on odb2 ecu's.

Finally someone who gets it close to right :):):) (ie right)
Early pre 95 GSR injectors are 390cc also
Very common to use evo/gsr injectors in hondas in NZ also...

i got the blue top 450cc Galant Vr4's on mine, just soldered 10watt 10ohm inline resistors to each one, works a charm
