Anyone had problems with putting on a set of 17s onto a civic? scrappage?

tyres are 205 40s...i've measured it and seems like theres going to be a tiny bit of scrapping when i lock the wheel.

arent 17"s supposed to go really well with the civics?
and youre using 40 series tyre.
that isnt that big.. is it?
cause ive seen civics with 18"s on 35 series.

hrrmmm ..

i might of been slightly off tryna measure it with a tape measure lol. although a guy i spoke to had problems of scrapage..but i cant remember what tyres he had.

but also depends if you get the right off set, and how dropped your car is.

yeh tru that ..
and if you get the after market sussys with adjustable settings.
too much of a soft setting can sorta scrape the shit out of the tyre wen goin over a bump.

i got 215/40/17 and its lowered too. scraping isnt that bad. its actually quite good, only scrapes on full lock or close to it.

like the other who mentioned.. is really depend how lowerd your car is..
if your worried that too much.. start taking out the inner guard out or roll guard

good luck

Yeah I got 215/35/18 on my Civic. Scrapes abit but I haven't rolled the guards yet. And are they 17x7 or 17x7.5 cos mine are 18x7.5 and I dont think they would scrape if they were only 7

+40 should be about fine, but it depends on the offset of the wheels, tyre profile and height of the car.
