Hey guys!I've just got my 96 honda civic and i found the alignment to be abit out.Lets just say the car sways to the left if u do not hold on to the steering wheel while the car is running. Is that a huge problem?Do i need like heaps of money to repair it?Thanks peeps!!
bout 60 bucks at any tyre place for a 4 wheel alignment cheaper if your car only requires 2 wheels.

they dont do 2 wheel alignment where im from...
i payed 56 bucks at beaurepairs (free when u buy a new set)...basically the implications on driving with unalignment is uneven tyre wear and ur car uses a bit more fuel...

my question is... what do sussy/tyre shops actually 'align' if the factory items aren't adjustable?
ie:
- Toe
- Camber
- Castor

if u cant from factory, they cant
oh they do trust me...
people will come in for an "alignment" not really knowing what it is apart from being a yearly thing.. then fork out ~$70... heck it even gets included in the bob jane/ultratune special docket services...
toe i'm pretty sure is adjustable from factory but camber??

they adjust it from the joints where they can measure up to a 1/10 of a mm...
it doesnt make much performance difference but when all 4 corners are skewed from each other it makes ur ride feel like crap...

camber kits allow u to change it by degrees...
factory can only be change by fractions of a degree
its not so much to change the actual characteristics of the cars performance...when they tighten points it can change the camber by a fraction...
camber isnt what makes ur steering wheel shake or veer its the toe in...

^^^anything alignment related isn't what makes your steering wheel shake... it's wheel balance.
anything alignment affects tyre wear
