i'll give you a tip - only remove your dash if you are REALLY REALLY needing to cause it's a slut.. getting it back in is more fun than getting it out..

Why do you have to remove the whole dash for the headunit?
You should just access it by going behind it...

I got a new head unit installed into my EK Civic, they are right, I got a professional to install it, he just took the ashtray out and unscrewed it there, then with a little push you can pull the old deck out. PM me if you want details of the business I used, the guy did it for $50 and the installation has a lifetime warranty. Nothing has gone wrong so far ... no scratches or anything on my interior.

Remove Glove Box, Remove Panel that has fuse box on it, push back centre console and remove centre compartment(if you have one), remove panel under air con and stuff, unscrew head unit held by screws on underside of head unit (mine had one screw, some have two).
