Just a quick question im gettin alot of smoke out of the exhaust under heavy acceleration. The back of the car get covered in black does this mean the cars running rich or does oil burning leave soot aswell. Thanks

can mean a couple of things:

1. running rich (which is OK, but you may not be on MAX power.. but is safe)

2. Piston Rings worn (are you using oil ?)

3. Cat-Converter has been 'gutted' (thus unburnt fuel in exhaust is not ignited and therefore ends up on the back of your car..)

clean the inside of your exhaust tip, then go for a drive and then check the black crud buildup.. if it is oily, it's your rings, if it's just dusty carbon crap, it's fuel or your cat.
