Rear bumper repair cost

Hi all, can anyone get me a rough estimate on how much to repair a rear bumper for a Honda Civic? Reversed into a pillar the other day, looks pretty bad, large dent on the right and tail lights broken as well. Dont know much about cars. Thanks alot.

to if the damage to the bumper is superficial they will repair, but if its actually broken or whatever they will replace with a second hand bumper or a reco unit... spraying will cost about 200... apart from the tailight, is there any other panel damage?

Actually the dent goes much higher above the bumper now that i took a closer look. Some damage to the boot as well :(. The reverse and red light been smashed. The panel is which bit lol?

Will it cost more than $1000?

well if your tailgait is also damaged, that will need repairs or replacement..

I got a rough quote from a repairer, he says it might cost about $4500. Is that too much?

no pictures so we cant see the damage but 4500 sounds too much. someone ran into the back of my eg civic hatch a few months ago.was covered by insurance so i didnt pay but it came to around 1400 for:

repair to boot/hatch
replace rear bumper with a used one
replace rh rear light
paint hatch and bumper

how fast were you reversing? fark hitting a pillar and doing that much damage must've been in quite a hurry to get the **** out of there.

Sorry its not $4500, i got a proper quote now. Its a 2007 model, the guy said the lights cost about $300 each so 2 of them plus the bumper is already $1000 and all adds up to $2k overall. Just wondering, does the lights cost so much? Also $2k is still quite expensive i think :/

The parts for a brand new vehicle, let alone a Honda will be VERY expensive... so no, it doesnt surprise me they are 300 bucks a pop.

4500 thats expensive i think it was only going to coast me a grand all up to have my lip repaird and repainted and my quater pannel worked (got a glass bottle thrown at it) and they have to bend then re bend fuel lines or something take it all apart and replace a heap of shit was a half a page of parts and shit and it only gonna cost me a grand where are you located?

Best thing to do will be to take it to a couple of panel beaters and get a quote... Its all well and good that you get advice but when it comes down to it, its going to be the repairer that have give u a better idea of how much it is going to cost you... also try calling up different wreakers to see if you can get that part rather then gettin the repairers to purchase it or repair it. So my advice;

1. Panel beaters quotes to get the whole thing done
2. Find out how much the rear bumper is and supplying it for the pro's to get it painted and installed..
