pre facelift Ek front bumpers 2 types?

i have seen facelifted bumpers that can have the black plastic protectors removed, but i have seen this possible on prefacelift models. however my preface lift i cannot, as i have bolts/holes under the plastic? y is this? i will find pics and post up what i have seen.. Is it just a particular model or???

yeah the preface lifed ek coupe and type r's front bar is smooth with no moulding, the normal hatch has the black moulds and when stripped off it leaves holes and shit..

if you have a prefacelifted car then just get yourself an ej8 front bar or something.

im pretty sure all EK rears bars are interchangeable, so you can probably get a rear bar off a facelifted model as they dont have the mouldings, but hatch ones only fit hatch, they dont fit sedans or coupes,

u cant fit a ej8 rear bar onto a hatchback.. but the front bar off an ej8 CAN fit on a hatchback

but the moulds on my hatch rear, i cant just remove them right? they'd have the holes like my front bar - is this correct?

Correct you will have holes. to get that smooth look you can either source an ej8 or ek9 front bar and 99-00 ek1 rear bar or any ek9 rear bar. Alternatively you can get these holes and shit filled up and resprayed it over, but apparently it's can be hard to get it right.

just find a front bar from EJ8 and rear bar from any 99-00 EK hatch

do the 99-00 tail lights as well while u at it :)
