you can NOT use 235/45/17 on a 7 inch wide rim.

Offset is not ideal - you are better off getting something more suitable.

40p Offset Will Fit With A 215/45r17 Or 225/45r17 My Wheels Are 42p Which Is 2mm Different No Worries Hope This Helps

235 Is Way Too Wide For Your Euro.

A Higher Offset Is Recommended But You Wont Have Any Issues With That Offset Wheel

Yeah +40 will fit because it is a narrow rim - if you really want 235 wide tyres though go for minimum 7.5 inch wide rim

WTF? I got 235/40/18 on a 8 inch wide rim with no probs.
You work for tyrepower hey? Why not tell him the offset is wrong instead of telling him that 235s don't fit?
If you run the right offset (no less than +45) 235s are not a prob.

The thread starter made it clear he is talking about a 7 inch rim so this guy from Tyrepower is 100% correct. Too wide for a 7 inch rim.

Yes , but it would be advisable to tell him that the offset is incorrect for that car.

We all know 235s don't go on 7inch rims. My point is +40 is wrong and 235s are not too wide with the proper offset.

You could get away with a +40 if it is only 7 inch wide though.

9mm more inner clearance
and
extend 21mm outer

When I was running 17x7.5 with what I think was a perfect offset of +48 it was

inner 6mm less
outer extend 20mm

Rims sat beautifully in that size.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but,

If i had 18"x8.5 (+48) and i were to run 225/40/18 would that sit nicely on the car?

Many thanks for your replies.

i would run 235/40/18s with 8.5 inch wide. You have the right offset to do it.

17X7.5 with 45 offset. How nicely will these fit on the Euro?

Well the rims i want to get are 5zigen Pro Racer GN+ and the offset that i've read on the euro is about 45-55 so between that range. And i was hoping to see whether 18x8.5 (+48) would fit on the Euro without rolling the guards in?

But alas i can always go for the 18x7.5. I can't answer that power of dreams as i am unsure but would seem like they would fit due to offset etc.

hmmmm, there are definately alot of threads out there on this sort of issue but it's still hard to find any definitive answers.

go a shadow chrome or black. they look hot on white cars

something like the hipnotic wheels will trick your car out nicely

Hipnotic Wheels (http://www.adelaidetyrepower.com/hipnotic_wheels.html)

and we can even customise the colour to suit your white paint.
