Trying to install racing seats into my 98 Civic GLi Sedan. Just wondering where I can get a bracket to make it fit as I am unable to bolt them to the stock seat as the stock ones bolt up from the outside and these need to bolt from the bottom. Anyone else had this problem and know how I can fix it?

Yeah they came with a bottom mount rail but as the Civic has side mounts for the seat. So exhaust shop you think. Looks like I'm spending the day ringing round trying to find some1 who can. YAY. Thanx mate

could you run a few strips of alloy across the rails and bend them over the sides so they can be bolted into the side mount holes

then just drill the holes you need in the alloy strips

Yeah. But surely they make something like this already. I just reang my local Autobahn and they said something about one made by Autotechnia that the guy reckons will fit. Otherwise I guess I'll just put my seats on Ebay :P

Buddy,

What I did was, I went to the wreakers and bought an extra set of OEM seat brackets (without the seat) - $20
Took a grinder and grinded off the side brackets, leaving a flat surface.
Got 2 steel plates cut to size (Measure the distance between the seat mounting holes and the seat brackets and bolted down.)
Then drilled some holes and bolted everything together using quality nuts, bolts and washers.
Cheap and still uses OEM brackets if anyone asks.

I always wondered,Do you have to get these safety approved?

ADR approve seats are the legal seats and they are okay to fit
as long its not a fix back seat. ie. recline able

The seats are ADR approved, but that says nothing about the bases (yes you should get these approved).

Cool,cheers :)

And in the event of an accident,I'm sure the insurance company will find out too... any reason not to make a payout.
