i dont see why its not safe but its a matter of value of the car...
personally i would never by a repairable write off....

Buy a new one, and you won't have any problems.

well take for example, my mate had a look at an s14 S1. it was posted for 10K.. it was pretty bone stock so from the research we did 10K seemed reasonable for a stock s14... we had a look at the car made a deal for 8800. found out the car was a repairable write off and hence my mate didnt buy it because the car no longer has value because it has been in an accident.

i dunno if this makes sense to u but yeh.

cos i was thinking of buy a write off and fix it up would this be more cheaper or the same?

well imo i don't think that there's anything wrong with buying a repairable write off, just as long as it has been fixed properly, and also that it's not selling for market value, i always see them as being cheaper than market value. aftermarket parts etc are generally used to replace damage areas.

to see if its been fixed up to standard take a panel beater with you. but i wouldnt pay market price for a car that's been smashed.

you will never be able to sell it at market value. so it might cost u more to fix than if u were to sell it.

how much under market value would u buy one?

blahZ

dupac->
22-08-2007, 10:27 AM
well it comes down to if it has been fixed properly. if it hasnt been fixed properly i wouldnt bother.

but if it was.. a car for the value of 12k --> ill hit em up for 9k. as its been smashed etc.
lol low ball them bigtime.

what's the extend of damage or where was it hit? the car you're looking at

blahZ

aslong as the chassis is bent should be ok..
depends on where it's hit though.

dupac->
22-08-2007, 10:47 AM
nope 5-6k i guess.. but unrepaired

lol I think you should stay away from damaged cars you don't have much of an idea.. just buy something already going and save yourself the headaches.
