Just wondering where people got it done and how much it was and what u had to do to your engine to get it ready. I have a stock 98 GLi Civic and wanna know if there is a bolt on turbo kit for it. Cheers

ECU tuning is vital unless you don't plan on keeping your engine for long term. Also, by spending extra on a tunable ECU and tuning, you can get just as much power using lower boost psi (or more power with the same amount of boost). Something as simple as a Hondata S100 which retails for US$195 will work.

Everything in your car now is made specifically to run as a n/a engine. If you really are keen in turbo'ing your car i suggest you do it properly otherwise your going to have problems after problems and end up spending more. If your willing to fork out 7-10k this will cover you for;

* turbo kit
* upgrade on internals
* ecu
* full exhaust

and the rest on labour.

You might even need a stronger gearbox that can withstand the power once the turbo is in.

Personally i would just buy a car that is already turbo. Save yourself from hassle, time and money.
