hey guys... need some opinions and answer.....

if i'm planning to fit a do a custom piping.. into a car..(CRX) which would benefit me the most.... n also in a budget term

1. 2.25 press bend piping
2. 2.25 madrel bent piping
3. 2.5 press bent piping

wat would be beneficial for me ? would a 2.5 press bent be better then a 2.25 mandrel bent piping ? as madrel bent is $100 more compare to press bent....or 2.25 press bent piping is as good as 2.25 mandrel bent ?

Wat would be the difference... n any1 could pin point me n show me some direction ?

Cat back?

You wont notice the diffrence, despite what ppl here say. Just get whatever is cheapest.

U want some gains, get full exhaust including extractors.
Mandrell bent is better, it doesnt restrict the flow. Even if u get a larger press bent one, the changes in size disturb the exhaust flow.

heres the difference that i am aware of. i work with metal everyday so i'd recommend mandrel bent

i over-exaggerated the press mark in the press bent pipe, but you get the idea.

Thoguht id use the same thread.

Noob question.

If my stock uses a 2" catback and i change to an aftermarket catback which is also 2", will there be any difference?

other then sound(the change from stock muffler to a cannon) i dont think so the idea from what i am aware is to increase the flow by making the piping bigger :) but not to big coz then you can loose torque from my basic understanding any ways like if your going to upgrade a from 2" on a NA car i think 2.25 is what most recomend on a 4cyl any ways... I think

Well, unfortunately the catback is 2" all the way. So im basically going 2" to 2". Only the muffler will be different. Maybe ill give this catback system a miss

Keep ur cat back the same size as the outlet on the extractors. Size changes creat disturbences in the flow.

What about if the OEM muffler is chambered and the aftermarket is straight through? There will be tiny gains there won't there?
Best bang for buck is final drive for acceleration at a small loss in top speed.

unless u do EVERYTHING, its not worth it. U wont notice it.

Just get a cannon for the noiz

Noob question. Looking to get the mugen muffler but want to upgrade my catback piping to 2.25" which i read is the max i can go on a 4 cyl. Can I just buy this piping? What brand to look for?

go to a muffler shop unless u can weld, or unless u buy a whole bolt on exhaust system

The Civic FD2 comes with 1.75" catback piping (if someone can confirm). If i upgrade to a 2" or 2.25", will there be an advantage or disadvantage? I read that going to 2.5" will give a big disadvantage, but not sure with the other 2 sizes. Just wondering whether its worth spending money for the catback upgrade?

Will be getting the straight through mugen muffler (from mugen-power) if it would help answer the above
