Hi i have honda accord euro and bout a body kit for it. My coluour of my car is the graphite pearl grey. The front is urethane and the back is fibre class. I took this to a panel beater to get painted and they painted it but it cam out darker. I was then told that they cant get it perfect cause my car is metal and 3 years old and the kits are fibreglass and urethane they claim that no one will be ablt to match it exactly. At the momment its quite noticable in the liget that the kit is darker. IS this tru? Also can anyone point me in the right direction for performance. Kand N typhoon kit claims to get me 5-7kw and cost $560.00 is this cheap or expensive? will it get me that performance?

thanks

in terms of colour matching of parts yes the panel beater is correct in saying that it will never be a perfect match, however good panel beaters will always be able to get a very close match.

the panel beater should have done a colour match to your current paint on your panels instead of using the factory code, in saying that maybe your car needs a good wash, clay bar, polish and wax/or sealant (don't do it just yet if the kit has just been painted wait a few weeks for the paint to fully dry beforce polishing and waxing.

Yes he is true in a sense but how professionals do it is to actually blend the respray into the body work where the parts meet so the difference in colour is harder to pick up...

When the Typhoon intake first came out it was around that price you got quoted but you can now pick one up from our traders for around $380.. Send our traders a PM to get a price from them...

K&N Typhoon CAI, is a great mod for the car. $560 is a lil expensive. Traders like RaceNation sell the Typhoon kit for the Euro and should be cheaper than wat Autobarn quoted.
As for sound, yeah definately the sound is soooo good when you plant your foot down, nice loud rumble and then VTEC time :p. Otherwise it sounds stock when driving normally.
As for the KW figure, dunnoe if its much or noticeable in the Euro, probably onli noticeable when you whack it on the dyno.
The petrol, well i think it depends on how you drive, for me since i got the intake i use a little bit more petrol coz i tend to flog the accel a lil more to hear the intake go nuts ...LoL

The problem is the material underneath does affect how the paint shows.

If you look closely at a factory car in the sun, you can see that the bumpers are a slightly different colour to the paint on the metalwork (perhaps more obvious with some colours than others).
