Basically looks for a braided line kit... havnt done too much research yet but are these kits any decent? or just typical ebay junk? anyone useing them? good / bad fitment problems? leaking etc etc

both links aren't working for me.
But from my experience, only some lines are ADR approved so they might be no-go for the road.

you do. Otherwise the pad will be sitting slightly off the 262mm EG6 rotor.
I hope you have 282mm front rotors dude :)

yeah ricer is rite. you're gonna need ITR sized rotors. Front 282mm Rear 260 mm. If your one's aren't rite sell em off and get the rite size.
+ the one's your lookin at on Ebay US arent ADR approved u'll have problems with rego and insurance. That's if they notice but not worth the risk in my opinion.
Usually ADR approved lines cost twice as much. Rough est. of price b/w the two:
$250 or less for non-ADR approved.
$400+ for ADR approved.

yeh i thought the lines looked a little fishy, and going cheap on brake lines isnt something i wanna face the repircussions of if shit hits the fan if/ when they fail
will have a look further into the caliper setup, is the rotor meausement the diameter of the rotor? These calipers are from a series 1 4 stud itr by the way.. that change anything?
thanks for all the feedback guys
cheers, Lyle

How do you tell if a braided steel brake line is ADR approved? I got a Tomei micro mesh brake line from japan for my Odyssey, anyone know if it is ADR approved?
Thanks

Take your old lines out.
Take them down to Pirtek.
They will copy them and make ADR approved lines.
These lines are very nice with clear sheath on top.
They are Exy but are hell nice.

If you have the 96' spec JDM ITR calipers with EG6 rotors then you are fine.
96' spec/EG6 both use 262mm rotors
BTW IMO just use stock ITR lines with decent pads and fluid eg. DS2500 pads & Motul RBF600 fluid should be more than enough for street use
unless you track the car often and can feel the difference that the lines will give you (better pedal feel) then spend the extra $$ on decent lines:thumbsup:

Most of the current branded lines from Japan are also covered with a clear sheath. The difference though is that the ADR-approved one has an additional teflon sleeve where the fitting meets the braided line so that it doesn't shear over repeated exposure to vibration.

Also, most of the time if they are ADR approved, the seller will make that clear. All buyers look for ADR approval so it would be pretty mong for a seller not to quote it.
if its cheap as or if the seller hasn't specified, 9/10 not approved

Yep, correct. The Adr approved ones from Pirtek have the clear coat all over the braid and also a coloured section over the braid near the fitting. As I understand you can get his section in differnt colours, so thats pretty cool.

I don't know man. I was just talking to them when I was down there for another reason.
It depends what your have, length, quantity etc.
They would be Exy though. ;)

Yup, there are a few ADR brake line makers here. Another one is Maltech, also about $400+. http://www.maltech.com.au/home.html
