Mugen Rim Repainting Worries

Greatings All,

I am in the process of trying to rejuvinate my Mugen CF-48's. Took one of the tyres off today to inspect the rim before striping the paint, and repainting. Problem is I have noticed that on the lip, appearing to be "sub paint" almost holographic is some text

"The Integrated Technology
CF48 Exclusive Gear For Honda"

It appears almost etched into the black paint with about 2mm of clearcoat ontop of it, bizarre. Im wondering if anyone knows anything about this peice of text and that if I strip the paint, will it still be there underneath or gone?

Call me pedantic, but I want to keep them original.

Might possibly be a sticker if its on the lip, Mugen MR5's have a similar thing and I dare say if you strip them they will go aswell. I would take a photo and get a another made up.
